After our first two match ups of Joey Clarence vs Roman Andreev and Mathias Chouinard vs Daisuke Kanou, we move on to match up number 3 of 13 for the first round. It will include Andrei Papikov who has a pretty cool last name to be honest.

Andrei was drafted by the Calgary Wranglers in the 4th round, 28th overall by the Calgary Wranglers. He was assigned to the Minot Gladiators which was the farm team for the Wranglers. Andrei would score 10 goals and assisted on 36 goals for 46 points. Which was a pretty decent total for a player who hasn't practiced that much to be honest. The Gladiators weren't good enough to make the playoffs though as they finished 10 points out of the final playoffs spot.

Andrei was on the roster for Minot in Season 19 but did not play a single game for them which is unfortunate because Minot went on to win the Championship in Season 19.

Andrei was not playing in the VHL or VHLM during Season 20 after being released by Calgary.

After taking a year off and going back to Russia, Andrei was back in the VHLM after the Brampton Battalion offered him a contract. In 68 games, Andrei scored 11 goals and assisted on 9 goals for 20 points. He was not the same player he was back in Season 18 as he didn't look as interested. Maybe it was because Brampton finished 39 points out of a playoff spot.

In Season 22, Andrei played the first 23 games before being scratched for the rest of the playoffs. He scored 2 goals and assisted on 1 goal for 3 points. The Battalion made the playoffs while Andrei still watched on. The Battalion ended up winning the Founders Cup and Andrei got his ring despite not playing,

Andrei left the VHL/M for good after this season and now has retired from hockey all together after spending his days playing in Russia and Belarus.
