(from left) Shane Lynch, RJ Stafford, Dom Mazzetti, Miles Larsson, and Lenny Face

@Chad (aka RawEnergy)

Player History
(S5) C - Miroslav Ladic, TPE: 419
(S11) RW - Leander Kaelin, TPE: 605 (HOF)
(S18) LW - Chad Murphy, TPE: 496
(S27) D - Shane Lynch, TPE: 300+

(S?) ? - Damien Shock, TPE: ???
(S38) D - Spud Murphy, TPE: 26

I only joined the league around the time that RawEnergy's influence was waning, however after doing some research, I found out that he was actually quite influential in the earlier days. He was the agent for Leander Kaelin, a HOF forward who won numerous awards throughout his career, including the Stolzschweiger Trophy during his All-Star rookie season. Other awards won by Kaelin include the Joe Malone Memorial Trophy (S14+S16) as well as the Scott Boulet Trophy in S16. Raw has had some dud players since Kaelin, but that doesn't mean he cant come back and do better; I definitely remember his GFX skills as being very sharp.

@swoosh

Player History

(S22) LW - Kendall McMillan, TPE: ?

(S25) D - Dom Mazzetti, TPE: 454

(S32) C - Dwayne Chocolate, TPE: 36

(S36) RW - Tihon Kalstad, TPE: 0
(S45) D - Mikael Lagerkvist, TPE: 0

As requested by @Strtlght; swoosh was a notable VHL member in the S20's, being the brainchild behind the "Dom Squad". As with RawEnergy, I wasn't really around during his prime, so I can't personally speak for why I would like to see swoosh back, other than that he would be a fan-favorite member who could bring more interest into next season's draft. His last two players, Kalstad and Lagerkvist have been big dissapointments, so hopefully the tide would change if he returned and recreated.

@scotty

Player History

(S1) C - Scotty Campbell, TPE: 630 (HOF)
(S10) D - Tomas Jenskovic, TPE: 694 (HOF)
(S21) D - RJ Stafford, TPE: 586
(S35) LW - Leon Leitner, TPE: 175
(S45) C - Maxime Deschamps, TPE: 201

Ah yes, scotty. The agent of arguably the Wayne Gretzky of the VHL, Scotty Campbell. While you could argue that Campbell may be a bit over-revered due to the level of competition in the league at the time, you can't argue with the numbers; he set VHL records that will never be broken. Perhaps though, he burned himself out a bit after this first three players? Campbell and Jenskovic are HOFers, Stafford helped the Vasteras Iron Eagles win their 2nd championship after 25 seasons, but his last two players, Leon Leitner and Maxime Deschamps, really haven't been anything special. If scotty returned, you would preferably want him to make a player along the likes of Jenskovic and Stafford talent-wise, but you can't be too mad if the player turned out to be more like Leitner or Deschamps, as any VHL player is good to have.

@frescoelmo

Player History

(S18) C - Tarik Saeijs, TPE: 913 (HOF)
(S27) D - Emerson Byer, TPE: 592
(S33) C - Felix Zamora, TPE: 612
(S46) C - Sean Blacker, TPE: 277
(S52) G - Our Lady of Perpetual Motion, TPE: 123

This one is kind of cheating, since fresco was online last week (according to his profile) and his most recent player is still in the league. However, he is for all intents and purposes, inactive. An inactive fresco is a no-go; we want our fresco to be active. Aside from Our Lady of Perpetual Motion and arguably Sean Blacker, fresco usually makes very good players, with some even making it to the Hall of Fame (Tarik Saeijs). Fresco returning to full activity with a new player for the S57 draft would be very good for the league.

@sherifflobo

Player History

(S19) D - Kristian Carlsson, TPE: 844
(S28) LW - Miles Larsson, TPE: 1,041
(S37) D - Slaeter Fjorsstrom, TPE: 647

Sheriff hasn't been around for a long time (2014 to be exact), so long that I think many current VHL members have forgotten about him. He was always a reliable TPE earner, as evidenced by the average TPE of all of his players being 844; off the top of my head, I can only think of a few that would be higher, like maybe @sterling? Fjorsstrom wasn't exactly a bust, but I feel like he definitely had 1,000+ TPE potential. Anyway, I really wasn't aware that sheriff had been gone for so long, I felt like he was a very popular member, and his presence is definitely missed in the VHL at the moment.

@Edgar

Player History

(S12) D - Virgil Quincey-McDienenberg, TPE: 48+
(S19) LW - Jaroslav Oslig, TPE: 657
(S24) C - Jarppi Leppala, TPE: 600+
(S32) D - Jack Sound, TPE: 635
(S40) D - Ed Grr, TPE: 239
(S44) G - Lenny Face, TPE: 65

In the current state of trolling in the VHL, it's Edgar who I miss the most. No offense to his players, but Edgar may have been one of the few VHL members who had a bigger influence off the ice than on it. I really wish he would come back, as his antics often never failed to put a smile on my face; I don't think I was the only one either. His last player, Lenny Face, was a bit of a bust, although Edgar was never known for making superstar players, maybe with the exception of Leppala. Come back babe pls

Review:

These have been very informative pieces, especially for someone that hasn't been around for the entire history of the VHL. It's been cool seeing all these names, some I reconize, some I don't, and all Their players throughout the year. It seems like some have already come back, so hopefully that trend continues.

Just stopped coming to the site one day. Was odd, because he was earning TPE at a high rate with his player before then.

Yeah I remember Fjorsstrom was at like 300 TPE by draft time and probably would've been a hall of famer.  Weird how that happened.

Kind of crazy how so many great GFX makers are inactive now.  Squinty, Kora, RawEnergy, Sheriff...
