Szatkowski III Declares, Long Road Ahead

It has been a fast few days for Mike Szatkowski III.  He suprisingly declared for the Season 57 VHL Draft, signed with the Las Vegas Aces, and has already played in three games.  Those within the family knew this was always the path but as the deadline approached many started to wonder. 

 

"I always planned to follow in the footsteps of my father and grandfather in the VHL.  I didn't want the circus following me or for my legacy to carry me.  I know the name will only take me so far and at the end of the day the results need to be there on the ice.  Do I have a potential leg up over the competition?  Yes.  Probably.  That doesn't mean they don't want it as bad as me in fact they will probably hate me for my past and I'll have to work twice as hard to earn their respect."
