Quik 4,113
Using my reply from my welfare post for this: If you have any Halladay memories, feel free to share them here! One of the best Blue Jays of all time, definitely the best pitcher. Smarch 3,153
Well seeing as I'm at least least 4 hour plane ride or 36 hour car ride away, I'm excited that I got to see Doc 3 times. Halladay vs. Scott Kazmir: Roy pitches a complete games loss. I get free pizza Halladay vs. Kelvin Escobar: Roy pitches compete game shutout. Halladay vs. Jammie Shields: 8 inning, 3 hit ball by Halladay. Jason Fraser closes the game. Been to 10 or so more games since 2005 and I could really tell you much outside small details. It's funny how invested I was into those games as it knew I was seeing something special Edited November 8, 2017 by Smarch Quik 1 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/45306-rip-roy/#findComment-484193 Share on other sites
Quik 4,113
That's awesome @Smarch! I was lucky enough to see him a bunch of times, but my most memorable one is watching his 10-inning SO against Detroit. We got there a little late and missed the top of the 1st. I was bummed because I didn't get to see the start of his game, but then the rest of that afternoon was insane. He was just a man possessed and I couldn't believe how he was putting in work. After the 9th ended I was pissed because I figured his day was done, and then seeing him come back out for the 10th...I couldn't believe it. I was so happy when they walked it off. It's my favourite pre-batflip memory of all the games I've ever been to. Fire Tortorella 2,653
Easily the most dominant Philadelphia athlete I've seen, and most likely will in my lifetime. Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/45306-rip-roy/#findComment-484207 Share on other sites
