DollarAndADream 3,357
Boeser's Season Heading into Season 57, Toronto Legion star Bo Boeser was always a good player, but never in the top of the elite in the VHL. This was something that he wanted to prove to not only himself, but to his team and the rest of the league. He knew that he could perform on superb levels, and at the young stage of his career, he had not quite gotten there yet. Cue Season 57. Season 57 was a pretty offensive season in the VHL. It was a season in which 13 players had at least 100 points, and 13 players hit 40 goals. Hell, 6 players even hit 50 goals, including the previously mentioned Bo Boeser. For Bo Boeser himself, in the points category, he was 9th on the leaders in the VHL with 108 points. This was the first time in his career that he ever made it into the Top 10 in the league, into the VHL's elite. Boeser could now be mentioned alongside names like Franchise Cornerstone, Fredinamijs Krigars, and John Locke. He had finally reached that Top 10 goal. As far as goals are the concerned, Bo made it into the Top 5, wowing many Toronto fans and analysts alike. Boeser scored 56 goals which was good for 4th in the VHL, 3 behind Takashi Fujimoto's 59, and 14 behind the best in the VHL with 70, John Locke. Locke and Krigars clicked this season and were at the top of most categories, so Boeser's 4th overall isn't something to scoff at. ----------------------------- ----------------------------- Bo Boeser was also among some of the heavier shooters in the VHL. He was 4th on that shots list, with 620. To put that in perspective, Takashi Fujimoto held down 1st place with 813. Coming in 2nd was John Locke's 789, and 3rd had Krigars with 633. If you're in any hockey league and can manage to consistently fire shots on net that many times, you are bound to score some goals, or at the very least, create a rebound and pile up assists. Boeser was firing on all cylinders with his 620. On top of all of that, Bo Boeser was clutch on his goal scoring. While he did not have the amazing game winning goal stat of 21 like John Locke, he did rank 4th in the VHL with 11. Hell, even his linemate Verner Reinholdt ranked 6th with 9. Boeser has been known every season so far to be a clutch scorer, getting winners on many nights. When you have a guy capable of winning games like that, it is always a great thing. A smaller stat to consider for Boeser would be his 10th ranked faceoff percentage. The top guy in the VHL was veteran Essian Ravenwing's 62.63% wins. Boeser on the other hand was not too far away with his 56.03%. His teammate Xander Finn, however, did have slightly better with 57.22%. At Boeser's young age, hovering at 56% is great, and will only get better as time goes on. Next season, Bo Boeser is looking to continue in those elite ways. He finally made the Top 10 scoring list in the VHL, and was one of the best goal scorers there too. With a players like Marc-Alexandre Leblanc and Lee King Snatch joining his team on forward, and Pablo joining on defense after trading away left winger prospect Phil Bennington, Boeser's stats could be predicted to increase. Reinholdt, Finn, and Do will still be there as well. Toronto is likely to start out the season with a top line of Snatch/Boeser/Reinholdt and a second line of Finn/Leblanc/Do, but obviously much of that could change, and both lines will be getting similar playing time. The coach will definitely have a look at stacking the top line with Leblanc/Boeser/Snatch as well.
