Americans look to next season

The Americans knew going into Riga they faced a tough task, one they likely would not overcome. In 5 games it was over, the young guns took it however as a learning experience. None of them to this point ever really had, a serious playoff run in the majors. 

 

Komarov was overall happy with his performance through the 2 rounds. He is taking it as the first step on the road to many long and deep playoff runs. The Americans will take the break to continue to grow into there bodies. Build full chemistry and hope next year will garner better results.

 

However, not all is sunny in New York leading point produced Fujimoto suprise retired, as did Mcquack. Role players Thrower, and Hrdina also called it careers.

 

Leaving New York with 1 full line of forwards 3 defenders and 2 goalies.

They have picks to trade if they want, as they look to shore up depth and grow more this season.
