Vega Ready For OTT Full Season

Mikhail Vega was an interesting prospect that joined the VHLM late last season as the Ottawa Lynx were making a final push to the playoffs. Just as it seemed like things were set in stone, Vega vaguely chipped in to give them that little edge they truly needed both in the face-off circle and contributing with points. However with a very quick exit and defeat in the playoffs, Vega felt his time with Ottawa was short lived, and his future uncertain with little practice time and little time in the league in general. 

 

However his faith was restored when Ottawa decided to use their 22nd selection in the VHLM draft to take him and bring him back to the team. This time, Vega knew it was time for him to whip into shape, become the star he knew he could be, and go from there. What did Vega have to say about all of this? 

 

"An absolute honor to be coming back. Ottawa is a city I'm near and dear to, and a place that I never imagined I'd actually get to play. While I know it's going to be a bumpy road in the beginning, I don't believe that it'll be rough in the long-term sense of things. However we're going to have to see where things take me, but at this point in time, things can only go up."

 

Vega impressed in pre-season, four games played and five points made him over a point-per-game player, and to top it off, he was a top player at his position and had over 50% face-off wins, proving he could do his job at both ends of the ice and when needed. If this can continue, we could see Vega be a top tier prospect for the VHL draft next season, but his performance will have to be next to flawless for that to happen.
