Previous players had not had much of an impact, McQueen however wound up in the Hall of Fame. Most Disappointing: Leon Leitner, 3rd Overall. Scotty is obviously a league legend, but Leitner was a bust, finishing on 260 TPE and taken before two Hall of Famers. Season 36 Most Surprising: None? Best choice I can pick for this is Phil Villeneuve (8th Overall) getting to 800 TPE given that looked very improbable heading into the draft, but that's about it. Most Disappointing: Godavari Yumalatopinto, 1st Overall. Tied for a Labatte in Season 38, but went inactive early on in his career and regressed to the point where no-one even wanted to play him in his final season. Season 37 Most Surprising: Travis Boychuk, 8th Overall. First gen player who wound up having a career that had him in consideration for the Hall of Fame ballot. Ron World Peace, 12th Overall, also surprised, playing well enough to have his jersey retired by Cologne. Most Disappointing: Jakob Linholm, 2nd Overall. Looked like he had the potential to be a great first-gen, but went inactive early at 252 TPE. Finished four of his last five seasons with less than 30 points.
