Banackock 8,143
The draft was a successful one for the Seattle Bears. They managed to grab top winger, and at the time clear #1 for most teams, Matt Thompson right off the hop at first overall. Following that pick, they smartly took Roger Sterling off the boards and one would imagine, by the way riga picked right after, that if they hadn't he'd be playing in a different jersey. Flowing out of the lottery portion of the draft, they also managed to add a great winger in Sergei Kovalev, who seemingly is desperate to become a huge star in the VHL and is making a huge name for himself already in the VHLM. Rounding it mostly out for the bears, the picked up Defender Chat, who may not be a gem to some, but the Bears see some potential in him and know the great member and player he can be when he wants to be. Overall not a bad draft for the Bears, but with limited assets moving forward, it'll be interesting to see how everything else plays out. A clear lottery choice in the up coming draft, it would be crazy to have the Bears pick first again and it would truly boost them forward in their rebuild. 208 +2 KOVY Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/50447-moving-forward/ Share on other sites
