STZ 5,360
Bratislava, Slovakia. The Watchmen have always produced some of the most high-end VHL prospects. Players like Anatoli Zhumbayev, Niklas Lindberg, and Willem Janssen are the highlights of a star-studded alumni group. They won the VHLM Championship in a year where they absolutely cleaned up at the VHL Draft having almost all of their players selected. The S37 VHL Draft looks to be another proud moment in the developmental franchise. Although a lot of their players are already drafted, two of the top Watchmen could turn out to be superstar VHL performers in a matter of a few months. Slaeter Fjorsstrom and Tom Slaughter have picked it up in the latter half of the season, proving to many scouts why they are the consensus top-two prospects. In addition to this, Logan Laich, Kai Randall, Kez Kincaid are also set to be drafted to the VHL. While many scouts have said the Watchmen could never replicate the draft domination that saw Lindberg, Doug Clifford, and Davey Jones taken in the top four picks - this could be a possibility. The Watchmen also play host to some of the best players not in the VHL, including Andrey Zadorov, David Januzaj, Phil Villenueve, and their MVP of the season Martin Brookside. Brookside and the Watchmen have a staggeringly low goals against on the season at only 100 after 69 games. Brookside was drawing a lot of comparisons to the goalie which led them to their S33 Championship in Eggly Bagelface. The way Brookside has been playing has some scouts ranking Brookside at an even higher potential ceiling - which is a high compliment as Bagelface has been ripping up the VHL this season. Either way, as we approach the VHLM playoffs, many scouts have their plane tickets bought for the second round of the post-season.
