Saskatoon - Times are tough for the Saskatoon Wild, as they are in last place in the VHLM and that shows no signs of changing anytime soon. Here at the Saskatoon Tribune dealing with a terrible season like this one is challenging and we are just fans, so it got us curious as to how the players deal with hardships like this. In order to help us out we asked Dylan Nguyen on how the handles the struggles of a losing season.

“Well you know, sometimes you have to have a bad season in which the main focus is on developing, and getting better. I think that is where we are now in Saskatoon. But nevertheless losing sucks and you never want to lose. Most days I can deal with it pretty well, just tell myself it's all part of the process and things will definitely be better next season. But sometimes losses just seem to haunt you, like overtime losses that you know you could have won. The losses when victory was in our hands and it just seemed to slip away. They hurt. They hurt a lot. But I find that for me personally some time alone and some good food help a lot. I’m a firm believer that food feeds not just the body but the soul too. So when i'm feeling really down I’ll get myself a big bowl of Pho and just dig in. It always seems to cheer me up. Pho is literally my favorite food ever and it just helps ease the pain. It's not just when the team is losing either, anytime I'm sad or feeling down I get some Pho and somehow I always feel a little better. I know it might sound weird to some people but food really does help me out. So yeah that’s kinda my method for dealing with tough times but everyone is different and i'm sure some of the other guys on the team have their own methods. But I will say this if you haven’t tried a bowl of Pho before you definitely should, it's life changing”
