SlapshotWrangler 864
Saskatoon-"I love Saskatoon, I loved it then, I loved it now, Saskatoon will always be a part of me." Ryuu replied to a reporter who asked him what he thought of Saskatoon. It has been a while since he signed with the Wild, and he is absolutely loving it. "Despite the losses and the failures, I have still been able to grow and just being in the Pro Leagues is awesome!" Scouts said that Ryuu was really strong and hits a lot and is reliable when it comes to "getting dirty" (to which Vyacheslav Smirnov said "F*** yeah") plus, they mentioned that he got 100+ Penalty Minutes in 1 season. They also said that he wasn't a good stickhandler and would not get goals in the net. To which Ryuu was like, "F*** you guys" and scored 6 goals with 4 assists. He also has 30 hits, still having that physical aspect, but he has the discipline to not pick a fight every single second. Want proof? He has only had 6 penalty minutes so far and has had no penalties in the past 15 games. "Hey, I'm just gonna be physical, but I need to learn how to keep my cool and not start some stupid sh** that could screw us over. I'm not in the Victory Hockey League yet but I still gotta be able to keep my cool." The Left Wing got his first goal on Game 81 this season, the first goal of that game. "I remember hearing the goal horn and asking who I just assisted. The coach laughed and said I did. Dylan gave me the puck, we taped the puck and I was so happy." He scored 5 more goals and has been working on scoring and stickhandling. "So every day I wake up, I bring out some of the Green Biscuits (that Dylan helped me modify so it was the weight of a real puck) in a box in me and Dylan's room, and we just practice our stuff, do our drills. I usually start off by closed eyes stickhandling, making sure I go all 4 directions. If I did it successfully, I move on, if not, I try again. I do that with the other activites I plan out, like hit the targets, hit the crossbar, backhand targets, and even one handed stickhandling." He says he doesn't pay attention to what Dylan does but he thinks that Dylan is doing some pretty intense workouts, "I think he's the kind of dude who would do 100 pushups. He's strong, he has the willpower, and he wants to be the best. At this point, I think he will be. He has 9 goals, which is more than I have, he has a hella lot of assists, and is one of the best defensemen I have ever played with." "Being on this team and meeting these people is the perfect ending to this season." DaftRaincloud 62
Review - I like how you wrote this piece. The use of quotations and parenthesis reminds me of my own writing style a bit and it made me chuckle seeing that, it's not very common. I like the tone you wrote this in and the development of your character through the piece. Your line breaks and grammar are great and the piece is interesting to read.
