To those of you that don't speak Finnish, that means welcome to Finland, at least that's what Google Translate told me. The very American Dan Montgomery will be taking his talents to Helsinki, a place which google tells him is the Southern Capital of Finland, something they just don't teach you in American public school. Montgomery is overwhelmed, and excited to begin the next chapter of his life abroad in Finland. It's a long way from Long Island, and should be one heck of a ride. Joining a team with such a long playoff streak is reassuring for Montgomery, because it means the team is in good hands with @Higgins at the helm.

Immediately after draft day, Montgomery made it public that he has agreed to a verbal 1 year deal with the Yukon Rush, should he not be wanted in the VHL for this upcoming season. Him being the GM of the Rush and all, this was to be expected for the young Center. While originally hoping to be a top 5 pick, 6th overall isn't bad either, and a first round pick as a first gen payer is a commendable achievement. Look for Montgomery to keep working on his defense, skating, and passing in the offseason, looking forward to giving the VHL hell, and giving former teammate Leph Twinger a run for his money at Rookie of the Year.
