The saga surrounding Riga's 3rd round draft pick from Season 61, center Mikka Pajari has finally ended. After noticing that nobody offered him a contract Pajari was set to become a UFA this early in his career, despite never seeing a VHL season. It's a rare thing and doesn't often happen, but considering Pajari's player agent had taken a breather just before the draft, it results in a situation where the player himself was vastly overlooked. This not only allowed him to fall down the draft rankings and into the third round, but also put him in a situation where he wasn't even offered a contract in his first official season.

However upon the player agents return, Pajari finally decided to sign on the dotted line. With of course, the Riga Reign. The Reign are coming out of rebuild and Pajari is looking to bolsters their ranks as they begin to make the push for the playoffs and beyond. Signing the remainder of his two rookie contract years, in S62 and S63, Pajari will look to make the Reign roster out of training camp and begin to solidify himself as a depth scoring forward for the Reign.
