Preseason dissapointment

With all the hype surrounding the first Rush preseason game, Sidney Crosby was ready to prove his worth. Before the game Crosby was asked about his emotions prior to the first game, “I’m very excited and I can’t wait to get out there and put on a show.” He certainly didn’t let anyone down as far as putting on a show. After an uneventful first period Crosby stepped back on the ice to start the second period. After a nice hit on Anssi Koivuhaka, he decided to go back for more and started the first fight of his career. Long story short Crosby was taken down and worst of all, he was ejected from the game. After only 6:54 of ice time Crosby managed to get ejected and post 17 PIM while only recording 1 hit and 1 shot. A major let down in his first game, Sid hopes to bounce back in the next week.
