Julian Borwinn - VHLM Career Underway

In a very short amount of time, Julian Borwinn went from roller hockey star to ice hockey hopeful to a highly touted member of the VHLM's Las Vegas Aces

The dedication put forth has not gone unnoticed. Borwinn was slated to start the season as the #2 left wing with Vegas but after a deal which saw Karl von Moltke shipped out to Halifax, he was promoted as the clubs top left winger. His line mates Revchenko and Thomas have gelled well thus far leading the Aces to three wins in their first 4 matches. Borwinn has yet to score but has five helpers and 17 shots on goal.

Oleksiy Revchenko has benefited well from Borwinn's high hockey IQ and passing ability scoring four goals through the four games. The third member of the Aces top line, Jessy Thomas, has yet to acquire a point but has shown promise as he continues to improve his game. The Aces have been spoiled by the elite goaltending shown by rookie Alexander Pepper. Although a small sample size, Pepper currently leads the league in all respective goal-tending categories.

Borwinn is looking forward to his first full week in the VHLM and hopes to keep his point a game+ pace to help his team stay on the winning side of contests. A consistent pace will also see Borwinn remain as one of the most anticipated prospects for next seasons VHL draft.
