The Wranglers have been the most dominant team in the VHL this season, scoring twice as many goals as they have given up on the year. In fact, their scoring differential is actually greater than the number of goals the Titans have scored all season. Norris Stopko has anchored the defensive end as one of the top two goalies in the league this season, but it's been the offensive side of the ice that has been most impressive. Veteran stars Jasper Canmore, Keaton Louth, Mats Johnsson, and Niko Bogdanovic get a lot of the credit for Calgary's strong turnout this season, but 3rd year player Oyorra Arroyo has really blossomed into a top end forward this season. 44 games into the season, it's Arroyo who actually leads the team in game winning goals this season with 7, and his 62 points is good for 13th in the league. He has also been dependable while on the ice, logging just 4 penalty minutes all season long. What might be Arroyo's most impressive attribute though is his elusiveness. Amongst all qualifying forwards, Arroyo has taken the fewest hits per 20 minutes, logging in with an impressive 0.718 hits taken per 20 minutes, nearly a tenth of a point better than Marvin Harding's 0.812 hits taken per 20 minutes. Arroyo entered the VHL with the reputation of a shooter, but it's been his quick reflexes and vision that has really emerged this season. Calgary will need him to continue his advanced play if they want to take home the Continental Cup this season.
