Nathan MacKinnon Gets a Dog (Or multiple dogs?!)

It was a Saturday morning and Nathan MacKinnon was laying in his bed thinking about what he wanted to do today. He knew that it wanted it to be a great day. He wanted inspiration so he called his mom. The phone rang, "ding ding ding" until she picked up. Nathan asked his mom if she had any ideas of what he should do today. She said, "Nathan, you should get the same breed of dog the other Nathan MacKinnon has." I was surprised that she said that because she never let me have one when I grew up as a child. I asked her about her reasoning and she said, "I just think that you need a companionship every now and then, Nate." We talked for a little bit longer about how I've been doing and stuff. I hung up and rushed out the door. I HAD to admire my Maserati from afar for a few moments. After my admiration for my car, I hopped in and drove to the local dog shelter. The dog shelter was called "Halifax Dog Shelter." Nathan thought for a moment, "that's a very generic name, haha." He got out of his car, and with his head held high, he walked into the shelter. There was a lady at the counter who greeted Nathan and asked him how she could help him. Nathan told the lady, "I want to adopt (not purchase) two German Shepherds. The lady told him that it was his luck day, and that she had two. The lady told me that we could go meet them. There was a little room where they bring the dogs into to see if the potential adopter and dog(s) gets along. I waited for a moment for the lady to come back, and she took me into the room with the two German Shepherds. I thought to myself, "those are gorgeous animals." She that they have been through rough times and really need a home. She also told me that nobody would adopt them because they "looked aggressive." I was getting a little bit infuriated because you shouldn't judge anyone by their cover, even dogs. I told the lady immediately that I wanted these two dogs. She said, "great, I'll get you to fill out some paperwork and then these two are your new family members." I filled out the paperwork and took these two German Shepherds with me. There was a little issue with trying to fit them both in the car, but it was all good in the end. We arrived back at my house and the dogs were so jubliant when they walked into their new home. I thought to myself, "I have to name them." Both of them are male dogs so it needed to sound like a male name. I thought long and hard of what I should name them, "I have to name them Nathan and MacKinnon." Nathan knew that was super cheesy, but he really wanted their names to be that. One of the dogs had a little bit of white fur, and the other dog had a speckle of peach fur. The one with white fur was Nathan, and the one with a little bit of peach fur is MacKinnon. He called his mom to tell her the news. She picked up and said, "you got a dog?" I told her that I got two dogs and that I named them Nathan and MacKinnon. She laughed her head off, but said, "congrats!" Nathan hung up the phone, and drove to the nearest pet store to buy pet supplies. He also got a few toys for them while he was there. He rushed home so he could walk both of the dogs. He played with them all day and finally went to bed with his two dogs at the end of the bed. Nathan thought to himself, "that was a great day."
