With just over a quarter of the season left, there is already 6 skaters who have scored over 100 points, and another 7 on pace to break the century mark by season's end! For Mats Johnsson, it's been a fairly incredible season as well, and now he's closing in on several personal milestones that I'd love for him to hit this season, while also hitting a couple already! In terms of milestones already hit, he's obliterated his career high in hits, with 172 on the season thus far, which puts him on pace to best his previous career high of 137 by nearly 100 hits! He's also been a bit of a goon, racking up 98 PIMs this season, compared to his previous high of 88! He's also currently at the highest +/- of his career, which isn't set in stone yet, but unlikely to dip below the +51 that he reached last season! With upcoming milestones, the first is his personal best for assists in a single season. With the last sim, he's tied his career high with 70, which means his next assist will mark a new career high! For points, he's currently 11 back of his career best 95, which he reached last season. The only offensive categories where Johnsson is unlikely to reach career bests is in goals, where he is on pace for 19, with 3 GWG and 9 PPG, all below the marks he set last season of 25/8/12 - though there is still time for that to change! Perhaps the biggest milestone that Johnsson is closing in on, however, is a career mark. With 405 points through 413 games, he is on pace to finally be above a Point-Per-Game in his career. Along with the fact that this will mark the 5th straight season that sees him improve his Career highs in Assists and Points, this might be Johnsson's best season of his career - and he might not even take home any hardware while being the top all-around D-man in the league this season - other than a potential Alexander Beketov Trophy, if he can maintain his status at the top of the league in assists. @Victor, hold me!
