Tensions rose during Team Western Europe's public practice this morning, when General Manager Joseph McWolf announced the forward lines and defensive pairings for today's practice drills. While reports from this past weekend hinted that the GM would opt for a division of the British and Irish players so that they never have to play together, he instead presented a lineup that saw players from the rival nations line up together on the ice. Threats and slurs flew freely, as most players left the ice before the very start of the practice. Few were those that seemed eager to put their differences aside for the sake of the team and the event was finally cancelled before we got to see the team in action. We were able to catch McWolf as he left the rink and gather his thoughts about this test of his.

"Honestly, I was tempted to just side with Pod [Cast] and slay these heathens. But in the end, I'm the GM. The suits trusted me to bring together a team that can take on any other team in the world. If anyone's got to be the bigger man and try and unite this team, it's me right? I knew this would happen but, then again, I had to do it. Now the ball is in their camp."

McWolf quickly left after his comment and has yet to return any of our subsequent calls. Podrick Cast was also approached, but he threatened our crew and refused to comment on the situation.
