Corco 1,260
Is anybody really surprised? Well maybe yes considering the first two games of the VHL and VHLM finals have been day games (something that has not been seen for quite some time), however it should be little surprise to anyone that the Bratislava Watchmen have jumped out to a commanding 2-0 series lead over the Yukon Rush. In game 1, the Watchmen were able to stifle the Yukon attack, only allowing one goal (scored by Queen Latifa). Meanwhile, top prospect Slaeter Fjorsstrom provided all of the offense that Bratislava needed, scoring two goals. Sasha Stepanov added an empty net goal to clinch the 3-1 win with 9 seconds left. In game 2, it was the same old story; the stalwart defensive play of the Watchmen continued its dominance; the 2nd period saw the Watchmen score three goals, and that was all they would need. Martin Brookside stopped all 12 shots he faced en route to a 3-0 victory. If the Rush want to get back in this series, they must step up their game when they head back home for games 3 and 4.
