Five games into the season and the Seattle Bears are atop the league standings. As a team they've scored an astounding 27 goals and their ticupght defensive play has only allowed 7 goals, with Sterling and back up Seagoat both earning shutouts in the prop

Offensively this club is firing on all cylinders receiving offense from both the top two lines and getting addedpport from the defensive core.

During an interview with CBC radio, Assistant Captain David Kiaskov was asked about why the team was off to such a hot start. His reply was as follows: " Well Ron, we have a great group of guys' that play well together and I think having a blend of veterans and youth on this club helps to form a cohesive unit as the veterans help guide the younger player here and they push older guys like myself to want to keep up with their youthful exuberance" . " I can't let any of my younger team mates show me up now can I?" "Haha"

" As for game play, I think we could use work on our specialty teams as we went 0/2 I believe on the PP during one of the last games. And  we can always improve on the PK as well".

Players like Kiaskov need to stop taking so many penalties as in his last game he accumulated four minors. Less team penalties means less time on the PK.

And the club is still waiting on receiving more offensive output from Kovalev and Thunderfoot.

GM Banackock has done a terrific job so far this season with UFA and team play so at this point it looks very likely Seattle is a front runner for the cup.
