While he started off strong, Jake Davis has regressed a bit as we hit the mid-season mark. With 60 pts in 44 games he still sits in the top 10 for the league and 8th in the forward scoring race. Even with Davis’ production slowing down, the Bears are still right at the top of the league with 68 pts (1 game and 2 points back of the league-leading Reign). With 38 more games to go in the season, Davis is likely to hit the 100-point mark for the first time in his career, which would be a huge accomplishment for him in only his second year of play. At 24 goals he’s also only 2 behind his last years total. One of his most impressive stats is his plus-minus which shows that he is contributing on the defensive side of the game as well. At this point in time, it seems like Seattle is a lock for the playoffs and it’ll be Davis’ first major test when they enter the post-season.
