After the seven-game winning streak some time ago, Quebec Meute has failed to find the same level of consistency, been really up and down, sure there is three and two-game winning streaks in there, but also quite few L´s and the icing on the cake is the latest run of losing four games in row, what is going on?  Rauno Palo has been singled out as a player who has not reached the level that is required from a scoring line center and from a captain.

It was reported that before the four-game losing streak started, Palo and the general manager of Quebec got into a heated argument, GM was not impressed on Rauno´s ability to shoot and pass, basically called him out in front of everybody. Rauno answered back by asking is it not enough that he shoots twice in the game on average? If the rumors are true, that line caused the GM of Quebec to lose his shit completely, the GM tried to run towards Rauno, but he was quickly stopped by the physios and escorted out of the locker room.

Rauno Palo himself commented on the case in his facebook page with the following words:

I want to thank everybody for their support during these tough times, it´s true that I have not played like I know I can play and how I should play, but I´m trying to be better. Beaviss, the GM of Quebec has been really supportive towards me ever since I got here, we had a little chat after the away game against New York , it was not as bad as the rumors make it sound, but he basically in front of everybody said that I´m not a good hockey player right now. I thought that was out of the line, especially when I was just done soaping myself in the showers. Just because a hockey player cant shoot and pass do not mean he is a bad player. I tried to reason with him and flashed out some hard facts from my stats, 2 shots on average per game and 7 goals with 90 shots are numbers that should make any GM want to shake my hand. I guess he tried to do that as well, but for whatever reason, the physios walked him out of the locker room before he could get into the showers and shake my hand.

I do appreciate the feedback and I think this honesty is what makes Quebec a great team, we are not afraid to say how things really are, it´s important, to be honest. I and B-Dog are cool now, after the fourth lost game we had a meeting and cleared the air little bit. In result of that, I have decided to accept the opportunity given to me by the organization and start working on my passing abilities, more is expected from me and it´s my job now to provide that.

Too early to say what the results will be like, but I´m confident that by the time playoffs are starting, I should be a lot better in passing and playmaking in general, that is only going to help the team to win.
