TheLastOlympian07 2,388
True North has assembled quite the roster and might have a decent shot at winning the Sponsorship Shield. Granted I haven't looked much at the other rosters but this is STHS we are talking about so anything can happen. So without further adieu, here is the roster of True North heading into the Shield. Maxim Kovalchuk - 58 GP | 19 G | 34 A | 53 P | +54 Maxim Kovalchuk is having a great season for the Seattle Bears putting up 53 points in 58 games to go with a +54 rating. DA BEARS find themselves in a fight for 1st overall in the league and Kovalchuk is a big part of this on the backend. The Bears are 1 point behind the 1st place Riga Reign. Kovalchuk will be expected to carry the load defensively on True North and with how he is handling it on Seattle, he should do very well for True North as well. Oyorra Arroyo - 59 GP | 31 G | 39 A | 70 P | +43 The man with pretty much the same name, is having himself a pretty good season in Calgary. With 31 goals and 39 assists for 70 points in 59 games. Calgary is also in the fight for 1st place with 88 points, so the 3 headed dog fight for 1st is in full swing with the end of the season coming up soon. Arroyo will be looked at to lead the way for True North as well with Kovalchuk as they are the two highest paid members of True North. Jesse Wilson - 57 GP | 14 G | 64 A | 78 P | +2 Jesse Wilson is our first look at the youth side of True North as Wilson is playing in the VHLM right now. In the VHLM, Wilson started with the Oslo Storm but was moved to the Halifax 21st due to the Storm being in a rebuild. Wilson has proved to be a great pickup for the 21st with 14 goals, 64 assists and 78 points. However, his +2 leaves a little to be desired. True North will lean on Jesse a lot this upcoming tournament, hopefully, Jesse will be up to the task. Johnny Havenk Carison - 5 GP | 3 W | 0 L | 0 OTL | 1.55 G.A.A | 0.935 SV% Johnny Carison is looked to be the future starter for True North but is stuck behind Shawn Brodeur in both this upcoming tournament as well as in Toronto. In spot duty so far, Carison is 3-0-0 with a 1.55 G.A.A and a 0.935 SV%. Those are some stellar numbers but they have come in just 232 minutes played. So it is what it is but Carison has a bright future, it is up to him to realize it before it is to late. Shawn Brodeur - 56 GP | 24 W | 28 L | 4 OTL | 3.38 G.A.A | 0.903 SV% The Starter for True North is Shawn Brodeur and well, his stats aren't the best with a 24-28-4 record with the Toronto Legion. His save % and G.A.A are pretty bad as well so he will have to pick up his play if he wants to be a difference maker in upcoming tournament and not let his teammates down. Overall, this was too be expected though as Brodeur really has checked out and is only doing this task for the extra TPE for carryover I guess. So who knows, what the tournament will bring for Brodeur. omgitshim 1 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/55464-checking-in-on-true-north-in-s63-top-5-highest-paid/ Share on other sites
