The regular season quietly ended this past week for Dan Wilinsky and the New York Americans, their 7th place finish in the VHL a testament of a rebuilding team.

In his rookie campaign, Dan played in all 72 games. He scored 30 goals, added 25 assists for 55 points. Wilinsky also racked up 30 PIM and 127 hits.

It will be a much different offseason for Wilinsky this year. After the S62 regular season, Dan helped the Ottawa Lynx to a long playoff run and ultimately a Founders Cup Championship. There was little time to recover as the S63 VHL draft was approaching, filled with interviews with GM's and the media, ahead of his first round selection. After it was right into training camp and back to another season.

This time around itll be much less busy and distracting. Wilinsky will be keeping in shape ahead of the Sponsors Shield tournament, playing for True North Hockey. As far as the draft is concerned, Dan plans to just watch on TV, the Americans currently have a boatload of picks to help bolster the young lineup.
