THE BEARS CLAW THEIR WAY TO THE TOP

What owes to Seattle's strong start this season? It seems that a number of the Bears have awoken from their hibernation from last year.

Players like Matt Thompson, Vyacheslav Smirnov, Maxim Kovalchuk and Otto Axelsson have upped their offensive output early on in the season, while The Charm has been a fine replacement for the retired future hall of famer Gabe McAllister.

The rest of Seattle's members have been fairly steady but a few could pick up their game play a little more which would add to an already solid offensive club.

Right now Seattle has the most potent offense in the league leading with 57 tallies but are average in the goals against department with 40 against Sterling. If this club can tighten up their defensive play and improve their special teams play the Bears could most definitely be in the finals this year fighting for the cup.

Which teams will be a possible challenge to Seattle for the cup this year? Well Riga and Toronto at this point are both playing well and vying for the top spot in the standings but as it is, they're getting most of their offense from one line on each club while the Bears have two solid lines going. But as we all know, anything can and will happen during the regular season.

My money goes on Seattle for a cup final if they continue to get production from most of their players.
