Rift Talks Disappointing Playoffs

Ottawa Lynx goalie JB Rift recently sat down with the media following Ottawa's tough loss to the Halifax 21st, a loss that sent Ottawa packing out of the VHLM Playoffs.

Really sucks to see we won't get a chance to not only take the Cup but take down Las Vegas. That rivalry semi brewed throughout the season, but we just couldn't find the rhythm in the playoffs. I take a lot of the brunt myself, here I am supposed to be the top goalie in the league and we just had a hard time keeping pucks out of the net, keeping shots off. VHLM playoffs were pretty high scoring, as the VHLM is in general but even still, just couldn't get a handle on it. It's a bummer, and obviously with this being my last season in the VHLM really disappointed we couldn't turn in better results there. But all you can do is look forward. I'll be playing for the Toronto Legion next season, as a rookie, and I'm just going to make the most of that and move on. Hopefully Ottawa has better luck in future seasons.
