The season is drawing near and with the Calgary Wranglers still likely on the outside looking in when the VHL playoffs are concerned, they may try and get value from their 3rd year center in the last year of his current contract. Sources report that there has been significant interest in the gifted passing Ukrainian, Revchenko and so far Calgary have not furthered talks in regards to his status. Recently being named Captain, Revchenko is entering his prime and has the potential to turn a contending team into an even better one and could slot in as top line or second line center. One thing is clear, Revchenko would want to play center wherever he went and has no interest in playing on the wing. Center is what he knows and while he has played right wing for part of his time in the VHL, he is more at home taking faceoffs and finding talented wingers for goals. Revchenko has the potential to be a difference maker no matter where he is, either on Calgary where he could potentially set up rookie Diljohd for a rookie of the year campaign or on a contending team where he could slot in as top or second line center and have the team be stacked at center. One thing is certain, there are talks about Revchenko that have happened but without the right offer, Revchenko is likely to remain in Calgary for what could be a Most Improved player campaign. If the offer is right, a team would be taking a chance that Revchenko can step up his game and be that piece to get them the cup.
