As one of the inaugural Alternate Captains for the Houston Bulls, he was eager to answer any questions. Houston’s strong start may surprise many, but when asked about it MacElroy’s only response was “It’s what we expected going into the season. You can’t lie down and accept that you’re going to be bad just because you’re a new team. I think we surprised some people and I want to keep doing that; I think that’s the best way to make a name for a new team. If no one expects anything.” Following these remarks, MacElroy talked about the strength of the locker room. “The group we’ve got is really eager and excited to continue the season. This strong start is really getting the guys going, we’re all looking at the league and thinking that maybe all that talk from the GM in the offseason wasn’t just talk.” MacElroy denied to comment on any potential rivalries between Houston and other teams.
