Saskatoon, SK - Big news out of the small town VHLM team the Saskatoon Wild as they have signed 23 year old left winger Edgar Tannahill to a one year deal worth 1.5 million dollars. Edgar had been playing in Europe but decided to head back to Canada in hopes of getting drafted into the VHL for the 66th season of the league. Tannahill is a big time scorer with decent size, and above average skating. He is not much of a passer but if he get the puck on his stick he has a bullet of a shot.

The Owen Sound native is hoping that he can bring his scoring touch with him as he enters the VHLM.

“I’m really happy to be joining the Wild, I know they’re in a bit of a transition but I hope I can bring them a bit of depth and a bit of goal scoring” said Tannahill.

What might be bigger news is who is representing the winger. Long time VHL agent Greg Harbinson has come out retirement to help this young player enter into the league.

“I was really enjoying the retired life, but I’ve known Edgar Tannahill for a very long time and when he asked me to help him transition into the VHLM/VHL I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to get back into the game I love.” Said Greg Harbinson

Tannahill hope to get into the line up tomorrow and start building his resume for the S66 VHL Entry Draft.
