Sigurdsson Reveals Secret

Yukon Rush right winger Arnor Sigurdsson has been one of the VHLM leader in hits throughout the entire season. Sigurdsson does have a solid point total (50 points in 54 games isn’t anything to scoff at), but he’s excelled at his physical game. Arnor has collected 112 hits so far, with an eye on getting to 200 by the end of the season. When asked about his physical play and why he excelled at it, Sigurdsson gave this answer. “Coming from playing soccer, I was used to playing a physical game. I was a centre-forward who used his body to both intimidate and get through people on my way to scoring. So I figured that if I used the same approach, I’d do just as well. I was also made fun of when I began playing for being a so-called ‘noob’, so to take it out on my bullies, I just checked them as hard as I could. It seems to have worked. Whenever I go for a check, I imagine the person I’m about to hit as a middle-school bully of mine.”. It sure seems like he hasn’t forgotten the past.
