There are many things a player has to consider when attending the VHL draft in person. How many family members to invite? Do they sit on the aisle to be able to jump right up and quickly make their way to the stage or do they sit in the middle of their family, allowing them to receive congratulatory hugs and kisses from their loved ones before embracing the general manager of their new team? The most important factor to consider is what should they wear? The frenzy of social media has led to increased scrutiny on a player’s style choices. A fashion faux pas could cause serious damage to a player’s endorsement opportunities and earnings potential.

Style Magazine spent some time with expected VHL draftee Charlie Paddywagon to find out how this draftee is going to make his style decisions for the upcoming S66 VHL draft.

We catch up with Charlie while he is getting fitted for a new suit at the newly opened Ferda storefront in Caesar’s Palace on The Strip in Las Vegas. The store is bright, clean, and blasting deep trance house music. Earlier this year, Charlie signed an endorsement deal with Ferda Apparel. Ferda advertises that they have the “sauciest threads around town.” Charlie said he chose Ferda to be his suit provider for two reasons, one being contractual obligations and two being that it’s free.

Many of the suits Charlie tries on are tight cut, which fit his trim body shape nicely. The only spot the tailor needs to is the bicep area, where Charlie muscles cause some tightness in the material. The suit Charlie ultimately picks is a deep purple color, similar to a dark heliotrope. The material has a slight sheen to it that reflects light in a subtle but noticeable manner. Charlie hopes fans will notice this when the spotlight shines on him on draft night.

Although Charlie didn’t select any of the suits he tried on, they were all laid out ahead of time by brand executive, nykonax, Style Magazine is still impressed with his final choice of suit and look forward to seeing all of the player’s choices on draft day!
