As Season Sixty-Five in the Victory Hockey League hits the tread deadline week, focus for some teams in the league will now turn to the upcoming Season Sixty-Six VHL draft. Teams like Moscow and Calgary are currently on the outside looking in on the VHL playoffs and are likely going over the scouting reports after fifty plus games played for each team. Drafts in the VHL have been given much needed life over the past few season and the upcoming draft is no different with 6 players currently VHL ready right now, with a possible dozen ready come time to lace up for Season Sixty-Six. Today we’ll look at some of the prospects that will be on the board and available for VHL teams in a few weeks time.

:yuk:Hunter Hearst Helmsley - Center:yuk:

Tripe H as he is known in the wrestling world was looking for something else to do with his time after basically completing everything he set out to do when he was with the World Wrestling Federation. From being a world champion to banging the bosses daughter and being a high level executive in the WWE, Helmsley came to the VHL to challenge himself personally and professionally. Helmsley has come out of the gates full force so far coming in as the clear cut favorite to be taken first overall in the Season Sixty-Six VHL draft. It also doesn’t hurt Helmsleys’’ stock that he was brought in by the very respected player agency Beaviss. Hemsley ha been on fire on the ice as well in his lone season with the Yukon Rush, putting up fifty goals and fifty-eight assists so far in fifty-seven games played for the Rush. Whoever wins the VHL lottery to pick First Overall this season will be one lucky team.

:osl:Shane Mars - Left Wing:osl:

While Triple H may be the top prospect in the Victory Hockey League, Shane Mars is certainly not far behind. Mars comes to the VHL under the guidance of another top of the line player agency signing before the season with the Spade18 player agency. Mars was drafted Third Overall by the Minnesota Storm in the Season Sixty-Five VHLM Dispersal draft, and has looked good so far as a member of the Storm. Mars has put up good numbers in fifty-eight games with the Storm this season with forty-eight goals forty-three assists in those fifty-eight games. Mars looks ready to jump into the VHL in Season Sixty-Six as his growth his season has been tremendous during his VHLM season. Mars will be a great condolence prize to whoever doesn’t get the First Overall selection in the Season Sixty-Six draft.

:hou:Maximilian Kirbsson - Center:hou:

The second best center in the pool of draft prospects eligible for the Season Sixty-Six VHL draft would have to go to Maximilian Kirbsson. Hailing from Sweden and drafted Sixth Overall by the Houston Bulls, Kirbsson would likely be the First Overall pick in many previous VHL drafts, but unfortunately he has Helmsley and Mars in the same draft. Kirbsson was drafted to the expansion Bulls with past VHL draft and his selection has paid off wonderfully for the Bulls in the fifty-eight games he has been a part of this season. Kirbsson has put up numbers greater than Mars this season with forty-one goals and forty-eight assists in those fifty-eight games. Another great prospect that has the possibility to go anywhere in the first three picks, Kirbsson will be a fan favorite for whichever teams drafts him in a few short weeks.
