As a late applicant for the VHLM Draft, Leo Tesla was pretty much anonymous. Nobody knew what he would bring to the table, but some thought there could be lots of potential for the young forward. The start to his career is one that he may not be too proud of. Firstly, he wasn’t put in the lineup due to some technical errors. He was barely being utilized, but still managed to show some flashes of brilliance and skill. Secondly, playing on a Lynx team which isn’t expected to do much this season could be deflating for the winger’s confidence.

“It’s tough, but I have got to give it to management for sticking with a game plan and going through with that game plan. We all knew it wasn’t going to be an easy season, and it’s just something I have to get used to.”

Now that Tesla is receiving more ice time, he should be able to make a bit of noise in the VHLM. Not as much as some of the other players who have been dominating, but maybe something to gain recognition around the VHL. There is one bright spot to the start of the season though: Leo Tesla is not a negative player right now. For an offensive winger, he is showing that he isn’t all that bad in his own zone.
