After a brutal loss against Minnesota, Julius Freeman had a hard time shaking his disappointment with himself and his performance in the playoffs. He lead Halifax as best as he could but it was not enough to overcome the powerhouse that is Minnesota. Julius was the highest point getter in the playoffs with 13 points consisting of 5 goals and 8 assists. He had a respectable plus minus of +4 the highest on the team and one of three who had a positive plus minus. The team played well but it was not enough. Julius was hard on himself wondering what would have happened if he played more time or what would happen if he was just a little more impactful. Julius only had a 18.45 average minutes per game where as Minnesota's top line was sitting closer to 26 average minutes per game. Julius understood that the VHLM is more about involving everyone but in the back of his mind he had to wonder what would have happened in such close games if he played 8 more minutes a game. Maybe a game would have swapped and the close series would have gone to 7 where they might have overcome. Either way Julius understood that it was a great experience for some of the younger players who now has the experience of a deep playoff run can now go on and have great careers. Julius now needs to look ahead toward the sponsor games as well as the VHL Draft.
