Birdman 59
After the VHLM dispersal draft San Diego defenseman Samuel Sparrow is ready to begin a new season, "I feel like I really matured over last season and I'm ready to really contribute this season and I feel that I can make an impact." Sparrow had 58 points last season while playing for the Houston Bulls and he hopes to increase that number this year.¨We have a great team and a great locker room atmosphere here in San Diego and I wouldn't give that up for anything.¨ Sparrow will be one of the veterans on the team being joined by Phil Marleau and Edgar Tannahill. Sparrow is also speculated to be in consideration for a leadership position on the team and people speculate that Marleau is also a heavy favorite for the captaincy. San Diego came out in a solid place after the draft and are expected to be a team not to be taken lightly once the season starts.
