Before the Playoffs in the S65 Sponsor’s Shield Tournament I want to take a look at the True North Gear and how they got a 2nd place in the qualifying round with a 8-3-1 Record.

Oyorra Arroyo - Toronto Legion

7 goals 7 assists 14 points 7 +/-

Oyorra was the leading scorer in these 12 games. He is a great player from S60 and with that experience and skill he is a great leader in True North and a great player to look up to in my VHL journey.

Dan Wilinsky - New York Americans

5 goals 9 assists 14 points 8 +/-

Dan is tied with the most assists in the True North squad. Dan is a talented RW who was able to tie with the most points with more assists. Dan was able to come in and help when we needed him in the team.

Maxim Kovalchuk - Calgary Wranglers

4 goals 9 assists 13 points 3 +/-

Maxim was our best Defenseman on the True North team. He was a force on our blue line that stopped opposing players from scoring as well as getting many points and assists.

John Madden - HC Davos Dynamo

5 goals 8 assists 13 points 1 +/-

John Madden who is the GM's player who is our best center. This guy did a great job creating a good team as well as doing a great job being our star center.

Ryuu Crimson - HC Davos Dynamo

3 goals 8 assists 11 points 0 +/-

Ryuu was our first line left winger who had to put up against other teams best players. Ryuu was still able to do a great job against them which is why he didn't have the strongest stat line but he did crush his competition.

Evan R. Lawson - Toronto Legion

3 goals 7 assists 10 points 8 +/-

Evan had a tough job this tournament since he was having to play center when he is naturally a left wing. He took the challenge with stride and was able to get 10 points out with one of our best plus minus on the team.

Randoms - Riga Reign

4 goals 5 assists 9 points 0 +/-

Randoms was given right wing top line and he took it and ran. A number of players had to player out of position and everyone did a great job. Randoms had a great number of points this tournament and will probably have a great next season.

Ryan Sullivan Jr - Toronto Legion

2 goals 7 assists 9 points 6 +/-

Ryan was our second best defenseman whom got 9 points and was able to make sure that we had a great top defensive pair.

Jesse Wilson - Helsinki Titans

1 goal 4 assists 5 points 2 +/-

Jesse was a great defensive player whom helped keep the second pair strong. Jesse might not have not had the best stat line but you also look the face that he some of the hardest time on ice. when we were down he was on the ice. PK? he was on the ice.

Connor McDavid - Riga Reign

1 goal 3 assists 4 points 2 +/-

Connor was the center in the third line that did a great job making sure each of his line-mates had great games and overall great tournament.

Basaraba Moose - Malmo Nighthawks

0 goals 3 assists 3 points 7 +/-

Basaraba is a great player on the ice whom when he is on the ice you can almost feel better that we won't get scored on. Moose may not have been on the stat line but 7 plus minus is nothing to sneeze at.

Jack Lynch - Malmo Nighthawks

1 goal 2 assists 3 points 2 +/-

Jack Lynch is a another younger player who may not have had the most ice time but made the most out of it when he got it.

Julius Freeman - VHL Draftee

2 goals 1 assists 3 points 2 +/-

Julius is a rookie this season and he is just happy that he was even picked and given some time on the ice it was nice to see him score some goals and help out his team when the needed him.

Beau Buefordsson - VHL Draftee

0 goals 0 assists 0 points 2 +/-

Beau was another rookie who helped the blue line and even though he didn't help on the score line he did do a great job at not letting other players score as well.

Johnny Havenk Carison - Malmo Nighthawks

.909 % - 1.74GAA

Johnny was able to keep True North Gear in just about every game. Johnny was the second best Goalie in the Tournament. Johnny is probably one of the reasons TNG did so well in a tournament.
