Scouting Report

---

Pros

Scoring: Lloris is a natural born goalscorer, of course his other puck skills are good too, but his ability to put the puck into the back of the net is where he really shines. At one point in Quebec, believe it or not, he was seen as a real two-way talent (more on that later), but right around January 2018 he switched his mentality up completely and started scoring like crazy (41 goals in 32 games from January-April). Of course his new, shoot first, style of play has some drawbacks, but it’s worked better for him so far. With his first VHLM game around the corner, we will have to see how he can translate his goal scoring into a tougher league.

Tenacity: This might seem like a weird skill to have, but it’s a good one, especially for a smaller guy like Lloris, despite his size he doesn't like to let anyone push him around. He’s determined to prove that size doesn’t matter and is willing to take on the big guys if it means protecting his teammates or redeeming himself after losing a puck battle. His grittiness comes from his days in Quebec when he was on a smaller team and had to have more of a gritty game to keep his team from getting tossed around every night. For teams looking to get a goalscorer with grit, Lloris is a great option.

Skating: Since he was forced into figure skating from ages 3-11, it’s no wonder why RJ Lloris has a talent for keeping steady and moving swiftly on ice. Skating, for RJ Lloris, is his bread and butter, when he steps out on the ice you know you are about to see a high level of skating from him. The way he moves around the ice allows him to create great chances for him and his teammates, if he needs to he can lose a defenseman with quik changes of motion and skillful moves on ice. His ability to move on ice is on par with some players in VHL, and he can truly only improve that ability.

Cons

Leadership: Lloris isn’t the most outspoken person in the locker room, and when he does have something to say it’s usually sarcastic or useless for anything other than amusing himself. When he needs to he can step up and guide a play, but he is not able to run a play by himself. It takes a while for him to adjust to a new locker room and make friends with all his other teammates. The only way he may make a good captain would be if he had a long time to adjust to his surroundings and learn the way all of his teammates play. At the end of the day he just isn’t a natural born leader, unlike other players in the VHLM and VHL.

Fighting: Just because he is willing to drop the gloves to defend himself or a teammate, doesn’t mean he’s good at fighting. This might be one of his biggest drawbacks since he likes to get into fights, but he may not have one a single fight as of yet. He is probably a player who thinks he better at fighting than he actually is. With the increase of size in opponents we’ll have to see how badly he gets beat in some of his fights, or if he finally realizes that fighting is just not for him.

Passing: It is not the fact that he doesn’t pass enough, it’s the fact that he is not the greatest at it. Being a guy who has developed his solo play like shooting and skating more than anything else, his passing ability just isn’t up to par with most other players in the VHLM. He understands what he needs to do to create chances for his teammates, but for some reason his accuracy with shooting the puck has not translated into accuracy passing the puck. If he wants to continue to improve and shape back into an all around winger he needs to figure out what’s wrong with his passing game.

Summary: RJ Lloris is an offensive minded right winger with a knack for shooting and an ability to move around the ice smoothly. He doesn’t let anyone push him around, but does not know when to not take a fight. He is not very loud in the locker room but is very loyal and a great person to have around as the cornerstone of a franchise. In order for him to succeed in tougher leagues he needs to improve his passing and understand he can’t alway take fights just because of a hit on his teammate.

Review:

What a handsome boy.

I'd generally like to see a preface before getting into the pros and cons, but good job on the summary section afterward.

Dig that you've gone into something other than the TPE stats here, Tenacity is underrated in RL games.

It shows that you've put some work intot this profile, it meets the word limit, and displays everything it should. Well done.
