If the defense, and goalie can figure shit out. The Menace could be a heck of a lot better team than their record indicates. They lead the league in goals scored, but 2 rookie defensemen, an a rookie goalie have helped lead to a team that struggled to keep the puck out of the net.

 

Komarov is leading the charge throwing his body around he sits 4th in shots blocked. Nano is a scoring machine on the back end and has helped lead to a few more wins since his arrival proving he is a good defender. With some maturation of Matthews, Beauford on the back end both of whom seem to be struggling defensively this team will really turn things around.

 

It will be interesting to see what happens next season, after some of the rookie jitters come off the young guns on this team. The forwards are fairly young too, and seem to be fully focused on scoring, being a team game they will need these kids to learn a tad better 2 way game.
