First time using any sort of Graphic editor, messed around with colours and shadows, will look to explore the program more as I progress.

Review:

Not bad for your first try. I would try to make it smaller next time. Just play around with whatever program you are using and learn what you can. Work a bit on the format, like to balance where your text and subject are placed. Other than that, I think you are heading in the right direction. Several tutorials are around to help you too. Good effort.
