A warm sunny night in June was when it all change for Dan Montgomery and his Titans teammates. It was when they joined VHL immortal ranks, it was when they swept their opponents en route to the First Continental Cup for every player on that team. For Montgomery this was a long time coming, as he had been the longest tenured player on the Titans, and in a career season, helped lead them to victory.

Now at this point, while hoisting the cup, Valiq trophy winner and All-First Team VHL Defenseman Dan Montgomery was a rising star in the VHL. Former GM of the Yukon Rush in the VHLM, he was a regular around the league for a long time until work and other life concerns took his time away, and made him a welfare player. Winning a trophy and finishing second in total assists was a great moment for the first-gen player, and he looks to defend the cup with the Titans for a time to come. he agreed to a 3 year extension to stay with his Titans, which will take him to the end of his career there.

As for the Titans, the boys are back and better than ever. After keeping together the entire core group, they are once again the favorites in chasing the Continental Cup. Can they repeat? What will the Thompson/Borwinn points race look like this season? Are we about to see one of the best displays of dominance in VHL history take over again? These questions any more on my next bi-yearly non-welfare task! woohoo!
