Scott Greene of the Seattle Bears will be adding another thing to the list of his accomplishments: publishing a book. Greene plans to release his first publication in about two weeks. On Ice Down Under: The History of Australian Hockey is an exploration of the history of hockey in Australia. We caught up with Greene to find out what made him interested in the subject.

“Well, after speaking with my good friend Berocka Sundqvist, I learned a lot about Australia, including that hockey and the VHL are 100% built into the history of the country. I think a lot of people are going to be surprised by some of the stuff in the book, but I assure you, it will all be 100% accurate. I went through exhaustive research for it, and I very much hope you all enjoy it,” said Greene.

Sundqvist is the primary contributor of information to the book, as well as illustrious authors on the subject such as Wik E. Pedia and Jeeves McAsk. Early reviews are in, with the New York Times calling it “no comment” and the Washington Post saying “this book is insane.” Watch for On Ice Down Under: The History of Australian Hockey to hit bookshelves later this summer.
