Yukon Rush - Week 1 Stars

At the end of each full week I'd like to recognize the top three players for the Yukon Rush during that time period. This is for the played Yukon games 1-16.

 

1st Star - Brendan Plunkett 

Plunkett joined the team being the highest TPE forward and his excelled in his position on the first line. Over the first week he has bounced around the VHLMs top 10 in points and still retains a spot in the ninth slot with 22 points. Congratulations on this outstanding performance!

 

2nd Star - Frans Eller 

Eller has found a nice spot on the Rush's top line after filling in for the lack of a clear cut first line center at the start of the season. He has been a strong core player after ramping up his skill at faceoffs and has contributed on both sides of the puck.

 

3rd Star - Wolf Stansson Jr 

While Flowers had stolen the spotlight in his leadership position with the team, Stansson Jr has far exceeded expecations in his role and shown excellent performances both offensively and defensively. With his team leading +9, he pulls up into the final spot of our top 3.
