A lot was expected of Odin Tordahl after he was traded to the New York Americans and signed a long term extension with the team. He was pegged to bring New York's rebuild forward several seasons with his veteran presence and star power. However he started off rather slow for the otherwise young team. But after the mid point of the season Tordahl has finally found his groove.

Tordahl currently leads the Americans in points with 62 points in 40 games played. He also leads the team in goals with 26, game winning goals at six and has even improved his discipline since last season. His return to form this season is a huge reason why New York still sits in a playoff spot. There is no doubt that Odin is welcoming the challenge of having to be a teams best player, specifically since New York has so many solid depth players to do some of the work he had to do in previous seasons.
