Quiet Off-Season for Toronto

Thus far it's been a relatively quiet off-season for the Toronto Legion. GM Ryan Power is often known to make big splash trades the very moment he could, but has instead opted to quietly re-sign a lot of players and otherwise do some general team house keeping. The only real notable move made came after the expansion draft, when the team sold Ryan Sullivan Jr for Brian Strong, Teegan Glover, Morpheus Destruction and David Lindberg.

We had a chance to catch up with Power to discuss the current direction.

Yeah it'll probably be a more quiet off-season for us. We'll obviously have our sights set on free agency, we still have the cap space to be able to make some signings. But we don't really feel the pressure to make a big deal at this time. While I may be known for trading picks, it's no secret that I have a replacement waiting in the wings and given our team make up and strength of division we feel the Sully Jr trade allowed us to recoup some roster assets so as to allow us to sit on a quality pick like that S70 1st for a change. We were more than happy with the return on the Sully trade, we have some players ready to take the next step and we think they'll be showing the league something with some extra minutes.
