Berocka 2,263
Sundqvist surprises in VHL By Steven Brockman Sundqvist who was the number 17 draft pick in the s67 VHL Draft has surprised a lot of critics when he came up into the VHL this year. The winger from Australia seems to have picked up his physical style in the offseason and has come out strong in the first 31 games. At the time of writing this Sundqvist has started in all 31 games for the Seattle Bears. During this time he has put up some good stats such as 13 Goals on 121 shots and 12 Assists. Where he has really surprised is in the PPG and GWG where he is tied 3rd in the league for both of the stats. This is incredible from a player in their opening year. Not only that but he is currently 2nd in most hits, it shows that all the extra effort to be physical has sure paid off. When we asked Blake Campbell the GM of the Seattle Bears for a comment he had this to say "Berocka who? Never heard of him!" So it appears that even though he is making a splash on the stat sheets the GM still hasn't taken notice of the rookie. Hopefully he can keep up these incredible numbers and spend less time in the box as he is currently number 8 in the league for penalty minutes. Though for a player that is trying to be physical this can be expected. I will be keeping an eye out for Berocka who is in his 2nd year of a 3 year contract and I am sure that some of the other GMs will start taking notice.
