Hockey SenseScouts have said that Dawson really knows how to play bounces. His intelligence when it comes to deflections and direction of the puck off the boards is a hard thing to teach. His ability to read a play also comes in handy when trying to spring one of his teammates for a breakaway. Being a former defenseman he has the knowledge of when to rush in and pressure an opponent.

SizeAlthough he is a big guy, he doesn't go around hitting like some mad man. He does however use his large frame to shield off defenders and drive to the net. One of his biggest assets is his ability to command space in front of the net. His size allows him to stand without bother for the majority of play in the offensive zone.

PassingDawson used to lead breakouts from the backend as a defender. Now he leads them from his own face-off circle and springs his wingers. His ability to see cross ice passing lanes is unmatched and his perfect placement on said passes is incredible. He is a great power play specialist for that reason and that reason only.

CautiousnessAt times it appears Dawson is timid and backs away from scoring opportunities. After his change to center he hasn't quite learned to rush the net, but it will hinder him in the future if he can’t change his mindset. In order to command a physical game he does have to have some energy to do so, but it seems he backs away from some potential hits so that he isn't caught out of position. Not necessarily a bad thing, but something he needs to work on.

PowerplayMost teams demand that their center be great at face-offs if he wants to be a powerplay genius. Dawson has great passing sense but his face-offs need some help. It's that reason that he is either on the second unit of the powerplay or not on it at all.

FocusLike many young players, Dawson loses focus a lot. He needs to keep his head in the game and fight for space. At times it appears his head is in the clouds and he isn't really even out there on the ice mentally even if he is there physically. Dawson needs to adapt to the culture and make it known that he is there to stay and he is a force to be reckoned with.

Review:

It's obvious the effort you put in here to make it look good.

The colour coordination, the pictures, plus it's written well.

I like how you steered away from just writing out typical attributes as well, with Cautiousness, Hockey Sense, and Focus.

Easy approval from me.
