Moderator Ricer13 2,796 Posted November 24, 2019 Moderator Share Posted November 24, 2019 As voted on by my peers Kris Rice was chosen to be the Captain of the Hounds for season 69. Kris was surprised, humbled and absolutely honoured that he was selected for this leadership role. His leadership abilities were tested this year when Kris had to face a little adversity of his own. He was recently demoted to the second line but not because of his play. It was more to create balance throughout the roster. Kris took this move personally at first and felt like he deserved better. After some reflection Rice remembered that it isn’t about him, it is about the team. He remembered as the captain he needs to put the needs of the team above his own in order to be successful. The Hounds have been on a tear as of late and the move to balance the roster made by the Hounds GM has proven to be the right one. Rice learned a valuable lesson on what it takes to be a captain in this league and seems ready to lead this team to another franchise record season. word count: 183 Patrik Tallinder 1 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/73165-what-it-is-like-being-a-captain/ Share on other sites
