Sundqvist Returning Home for Christmas

Sundqvist has made his intentions clear to the Seattle Bears that he will miss the next two weeks of training due to travelling back to Australia for Christmas. When asked about his decision he had this to say:

My Family is everything to me, we have had a tough year this year with family issues and I would like to be there for them this Christmas. Hockey is my passion and my job but I couldn't have got to where I was today without all my family. I would like all the fans of myself and the Bears franchise to respect my decision. I will be spending the next few weeks in the hot Australian Summer, I can tell you it will be full of back yard cricket, slip n slides and way too much food. I am looking forward to being able to watch the Boxing Day test and do all the things I loved to do this time of year when I was a Kid. Hopefully I will come back fresh and be ready for the rest of the season, I have not been playing up to expectations and I wish the team the best whilst I am away.

 

So we will see Sundqvist back on Australian shores before to long. Hopefully this well deserved break will help him improve as a player.
